MJ Daly is proud to have been part of the construction of the new Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG) building located in Windsor Locks, CT. The building is a first-of-its-kind in the U.S. and will support the functions and operations of the 14th Civil Support Team (CST). The CST is a highly-specialized unit, dedicated to providing support to authorities for domestic threats involving high explosives and nuclear dangers.

This was a LEED Silver project based on USBGC’s “LEED 2009 for New Construction & Major Renovations”. MJ Daly held contracts for plumbing, mechanical and sprinkler for this design/build assist project.

The scope of the project included Mechanical / HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection:

• Exhaust/intake within ready bays, radiant heat within ready bays, constant volume with VAV’s, and chilled water cooling.
• Gang bathrooms, drench showers, trench drains, full kitchen, eyewashes, and fountains.
• Sprinklers throughout the facility with a booster pump.
